Sarah Jane Mathews was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2013 after completing her pupillage at Messrs Seah Balan Ravi & Co where she practiced as a legal associate for a year focusing mainly on general civil litigation handling contractual claims, debt recovery, land dispute matters amongst others.

In December 2013, she became a founding and managing partner of Messrs S. Mathews & Associates where she focused on conveyancing practice as her main practice whilst advancing the firm. Her scope includes advising and preparation of documents in relation to real estate transactions for both individual and corporate clients alike, covering a span from residential to commercial properties and land, as well as the financing for real estate transactions be it Islamic and conventional, and dealing with the relevant authorities on behalf of her Clients.

She also involves herself in the practice area of Estate and Inheritance and Will writing, including advising Clients on their options, including filing of Probate and Administration.

She occasionally represents the Malaysian Bar in the game of squash being previously a national Malaysian junior athlete her self.
