Carissa Ying Ying Sammy was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014 after working as a paralegal while

pursuing her Certificate of Legal Practice and subsequently completed her pupillage in SC Lim & Partners (now Gan & Zul Advocates & Solicitors). In the two years working there, she assisted in family matters including divorce matters and adoption works and was leading the projects for property developments in conveyancing matters. She then moved to Bin & Associates and handled corporate and conveyancing matters.

In August 2020, she joined S. Mathews & Associates as a partner. Among
her area of practice includes:

• Commercial & Corporate Contracts: share sale (subscription transfer or acquisitions/ of shares), agreements shareholders agreement, sale of business, joint venture contracts, property development, business ventures, etc., contracts for services (including distributorship of goods and/or services, dealerships, operations and managements contracts, franchise agreement, consultancy contracts, partnership agreement and etc.
  


• Conveyancing: sale and sub-sale contracts for residential, commercial (including shop-lots on per strata basis or en-block basis, serviced apartments, etc.), perfection of transfers and charge, banking and finance, land bank acquisitions, tenancies and lease agreements (including tenancies for shopping mall and major account tenants).
